What you’ll gain
- The specific conversation you have been avoiding, planned out — what you want from it, how you will open it, and what you will do if it goes badly.
- Boundaries stated in sentences you can say without rehearsing for a week.
- A clearer view of which frictions are solvable and which are the price of the relationship.
- Practice. Most of the value is in saying the hard thing out loud to me first.
Who it’s for
Partners, adult siblings, business partners, parents of grown children. Anyone stuck in a loop where they know how the argument ends before it starts.
The process
- Discovery call — 45 minutes, free, and a candid answer about whether coaching or therapy is the right room.
- Session one — the map. Who is involved, what the pattern is, and what you have already tried.
- Sessions two to five — one conversation at a time. Prepare it, have it, come back and review what actually happened.
- Session six — what you keep. The habits and phrasings that worked, written down.
Frequently asked questions
No. Couples therapy treats distress and works with history; it is clinical work and needs a licensed therapist. This is coaching — communication, boundaries, decisions and follow-through, for people whose relationships are broadly working and could work better. If what you describe belongs with a therapist, I will tell you on the first call.
Most people do. You can only change your own half of a dynamic, and that turns out to be more than enough to work with.
Then come to the discovery call and say so. A session where one person was dragged along is not useful to either of you, and I would rather find that out for free.
